Native to Northern New York, Laura is an emerging mezzo soprano and music educator, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Laura has extensive training in classical voice and musical theater, while also extending her teaching opportunities to popular music, country, jazz, and folk. Laura spent her time in NY teaching voice students, singing in an Episcopal Church choir, and working as an on call music substitute within local school districts. Laura was an active chamber soloist in Buffalo, NY, and had opportunities to perform in exciting works such as
Mark Adamo’s Little Women, W.A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and the 50th Anniversary Gala of the Hillman Opera at Fredonia. Laura has recently relocated to Tempe, Arizona, and looks forward to the musical
opportunities presented in the valley, both for her students and herself. With a strong interest in vocal health and wellness, Laura hopes to foster a lifelong, healthy relationship between students and their instruments. Laura also teaches beginner piano and songwriting. Whether it be to meet a professional goal, to learn a new instrument, or simply keep up on old skills, Laura hopes to create nurturing relationships with her students, maximizing room for growth.
