Jennifer Leitch founded Prestige Music Academy in 2007 as a way to bridge her desire to be a stay-at-home mom and her passion for music. She envisioned a place where a family could have one stop for exceptional music lessons in a professional setting. Early childhood music lessons could occur, as well as opportunities for students to showcase their accomplishments with recitals. 

Women-owned businesses run deep in her blood as both her grandmothers owned and operated businesses. Having been trained in Vocal Performance and teaching lessons in her home for years, it seemed like a natural progression. She spent many hours working on every detail of the business, securing a location, finding good deals on instruments, traveling all over the city picking them up, all while tending to her baby. 

She is forever thankful to The Valley Commerce Center, as they took a chance on our business venture. Eighteen years ago, we started out with 6 private studios and 9 teachers. Today, we have lessons for nearly all instruments in 11 studios with 20+ instructors and teach 300+ students weekly, and remain in the same location! 

The little baby who was toted all over town with her mom and spent countless hours in the lobby entertaining parents while their children were in lessons, now teaches piano and voice, following in her mom’s footsteps.
